Telluride Engagement at San Sophia Overlook

Conor originally reached out to book me for a Telluride proposal photography session during a vacation with his long time girlfriend, Carli, in the mountains of Colorado. He had carefully planned to propose at the stunning San Sophia Overlook and wanted a photographer there to discreetly capture the moment against the sweeping mountain views. But when the time finally came, excitement and nerves took over in the sweetest way possible, and Conor ended up proposing earlier than planned, over dinner before we were scheduled to meet.

Instead of photographing the proposal itself, we seamlessly shifted into an engagement session at San Sophia Overlook — and honestly, it could not have worked out more perfectly. The pressure was gone for Conor, they were completely wrapped up in the excitement of being newly engaged, and the resulting images felt incredibly genuine and relaxed. Their San Sophia Overlook engagement photography session was filled with authentic emotion, laughter, and that dreamy golden mountain light Telluride is known for. The overlook gave us an unforgettable backdrop to celebrate and document such a spontaneous and joy-filled moment in their lives together.
